Abstract:
The VPA-Voluntary Partnership Agreement has been initialed and probably will be implemented
in Vietnam in the year 2020. The VPA will have positive impacts but also might have the possibility of
unintended adverse effects. Under support from FAO, SRD has conducted an assessment on the current status of forest planting households and small & micro timber processing enterprise in 4 provinces
in Vietnam-Phu Tho, Nghe An, Quang Nam, and Binh Dinh. The research results supported the development of a set of initial indicators to monitor the impact of VPA on three impacted areas: income,
ease of business; and market
