Resource Extraction Monitoring (REM), as part of a 3-year project of capacity building in the Congo Basin funded by the EC Tropical Forests budget line and the UK’s Department for International Development (DfID), has initiated contact with stakeholders in-country in preparation for a feasibility study on the possibilities for independent monitoring of the forest sector in the Central African Republic.
