Independent Forest Monitoring Coordination Mechanism: Institutional Framework

The Independent Forest Monitoring Coordination Mechanism (IFM CM) in Liberia comprises seven civil society organiations: the Civil Society Independent Forest Monitors (CS-IFM), Liberia Forest Media Watch (LFMW), National Union of Community Forest Management Bodies (NUCFMB), National Union of Community Forestry Development Committees (NUCFDC), Sustainable Development Institute (SDI), Foundation for Community Initiatives (FCI), and Save My Future Foundation (SAMFU).

In 2021 the IFM CM sought to reinforce a clear and practical manner in which IFM in Liberia should be coordinated and the roles and responsibilities of its member organizations. It therefore agreed a Institutional Framework for ts members, the NGO Coalition of Liberia, and other bodies.
