FLEGT in Colombia

Colombia exports little timber to the EU, and interest in a VPA is therefore correspondingly low.

On behalf of the EU, the European Forest Institute (EFI) EU FLEGT Facility, which supports the implementation of the EU FLEGT Action Plan, travelled to Colombia in February 2010 to assess the situation. No VPA is expected to be negotiated with the country.
