Après un long processus de négociation (3 ans), l'Accord de Partenariat Volontaire (APV) –devant réguler le commerce légal du bois et promouvoir la gouvernance forestière – a été paraphé et signé en 2010, et il a été ratifié successivement par l'Union européenne et le Cameroun en 2011.
